Action 52

House, United States country

The brainchild of multifaceted industry bloke Matty Night and Denver House staple Scott Armstrong, Action 52 serve dance music to pull a wry smile and a rocking hip wiggle from their listeners. Behind a fun-loving 80ís sci-fi concept taking its name from the fitting and congruently titled, ultra-rare, NES platformer and years of combined skill behind the decks and inside of their gadgetry strewn studio; Action 52 is a testament to the essence of style meeting substance. Students of the dance scene since their days in high-school basements crafting waxy sets on Technic SL1200ís, their sound is one combining a resonant house backbone with shades of disco, indie, jazz and hip-hop; all of course painted with the glossy tinge of a gritty neon, late 80ís arcade. With their remixes for Galantis Smile, Missy Elliots Lose Control and Ludacris How Low each making an appearance in the Top #50 overall Hype Machine charts, the enigmatic duo has had the opportunity to ply their sound in support of some of underground dances most recognizable commodities since embarking on their galaxy-spanning journey including Shiba San, Goldroom, The Knocks, Chris Lorenzo, Kaytranada, Viceroy and loads more.
